Keeping Up With Life

In my never ending quest for another long skirt (never ending because I don’t really pursue it very often), I thought, Hey! A circle skirt would be easy and just what I want! So, as I have done with several things, I naturally made a smaller prototype for Natalie before going full-scale.

I handsewed it. “It’s only two seams! It’ll be no big deal!” Right. Next time I’m going to borrow a sewing machine.

Lessons learned: Use a machine. Watch out for fabric width; the stuff Natalie picked out was just wide enough to do a full circle for her, but not nearly wide enough to do even two half-circles or four quarters for me in the length I want. Otherwise, I think I’m good to go. Zoom
